Buying a 1999 Integra for 4500. BUT it has a salvage title....what to do?
Ok im buying a new car. Its a 1999 Teg w/ 34k miles all power leather etc. But it has front end damage. Just the hood and bumper and fenders which I will replace w/ aftermarket stuff anyways. But heres my question, how do I get to get a regular title? If it means anything I live in FL. This is just too good of a deal to pass up. THANKS!
I wouldn't buy it. It may be a good deal but hell it could have had really bad frame damage or been a flood car or some ****. I had a Taures a year ago and it was a salvage and drove horrible.
I'd consider it if there isnt any frame damage. fenders and bumpers are repalceable but the frame is key. Fix it up and get a clear title. Keep your reciepts.
Good luck.
BTW, shouldn't this be in the Integra forum?

i would never put my money into a salvaged car (50 bucks maybe). you just dont know if the integrity of the car has been damaged and/or fixed. maybe get the alignment checked out.. inspect the suspension components THOROUGHLY, especially the crossmember. as with any car, inspect every detail as meticulously as possible, dont worry about what the owner thinks. also get a leakdown/compression test done before purchase. good luck
