Does anyone know where I can find a very technically heavy explantation of the way the VTEC system works? I am looking for pictures too.

Thanks,

Yes, Honda has hamster factories all over the world where they grow super-hamsters to use in their cars

here's a great representation of what goes on in each of the three stages of "vtec".

for a much more in-depth review of cam changing/phasing concepts (including BMW Vanos, Porsche Variocam, Toyota VVTL-i, i-VTEC), see http://autozine.kyul.net/technical_s...tech_index.htm. Excellent technical material!
