camber problem: 97 SH model
I've had this ride for about a year now and I never thought about putting mods on this car since it was an SH, all my other cars I don't care about, so they're modded to hell. Love the car, but decided that it was the black sheep of the family since it was too high, so I bought coilovers finally.
The thing about this is, the camber nut at the base is weird. I worked on Accords and Civics where the nut points away from the bumper so that it unscrews toward the front bumper, which so it slips off and there goes the whole camber.
Now on the Prelude it's the opposite. (Mine at least) There's not enough room no matter how far I turn the steering wheel, the wishbone is still in the way. Only about 2/3 of the nut comes off until contact, thus leaving the camber stuck.
So, I'm considering cutting off the nut and replacing it, or to be bold and daring, just cut off some coils and forget about the coilovers, but if anyone else came upon this problem and has a solution, enlighten me.
2 solutions I know so far:
- Take apart the rotor and all the works
- Pay the shop to do it and re-align the nut
