Just ordered the complete, built, kit with the new 1.5 version for $330.03 US, shipped and insured, and the wideband O2 sensor from The Parts Bin shipped for $126.75. Not too bad for an on-board wide band O2 meter w/ sensor to your door for $457.00. http://www.techedge.com.au/

thePartsBin had the sensor in stock?? I've been on the waiting list for awhile now.

I ordered my Techedge version 1.0 the day before their new 1.5 web pages came up.. I'm a bit bitter, but I'm trying to convince myself that the 1.5 doesn't have
anything that I really need.

 

i dont see any need for the 1.5 version unless you have the stock ecu. but then i ask what good would a wideband o2 be with a stock ecu that you cant tune?

 

not true at all ... HUGE advantage, the 1.5 datalogs with RPM signal, somethign very much needed when tuning, afterall how would you know what map to adjust @ what RPM as the car is running ? difficult to remember the a/f output at each map on a tracer.

Is all this needed for a HOndata setup though. Sounds like the Hondalogger can do it. If anything, I think the voltage of 11 volts would help. I remember a lot of posts with problems on getting the 13.2 volts required to use the version 1.0.

Oh, and yes, the partsbin looks like they do have the sensor in stock.

I dont think the logger form the 1.5 is needed for the Hondata application ... 13.8v is a must for any 5 wire WB ... even with my FAST setup I have issues if my voltage drops below 12.8v ...

 

he is right when he says the v1.5 only needs 11v. you are probably right when you say a wb o2 needs 13.8v. but in the v1.5, they include circuitry that allows an 11v input and steps it up to the required voltage.

i got a call from the partsbin yesterday telling me the sensors were in but only because i was on the waiting list. i got on the list a week ago or so to give you an idea of turnaround time. the guy says they get little shipments here and there of them so you just have to get on the list and be patient.

 

i ordered one from techedge this week, and they said it should ship out before christmas

 

any of you guys got the DIY kit? ow hard was it to put together?

ummm...most standalones have datalogging capability. apparently your setup doesnt. my bad.
