Where did my bushings go??
Hi,
I just got my car back today and I realized my motor mounts (near the valve cover) is now an old, junk yard looking one. I remember they were red bushings from Energy Suspension. The bottom two pieces near the wheels are there still. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't junk yard parts often mark with different colors of paint so it's like a signature for them? I noticed a yellow paint spot on the mount and immediately I was upset cause I don't know if the technician swapped it or something. What should I do?

Knowing the technician (Slimeball) he probably won't admit it... That's what I'm afraid of. Cause I don't got no pictures to prove if I had them only witness like my friends and stuff. Will this work? Besides, it's a b*tch to put the mounts in there since the tech have to take out the who motor? Oh yeah, was i right about the junk yard part? Where they mark paint and stuff as their signature? Thx.
Tell them if they dont give back or replace the part. You are calling the police for theft, and the better business buraue (sp?) for fraud, if they dont give it back then, which they should, you so the above. the BBB would love to hear things like this.
Your inserts are still there. ES doesn't make an insert for the two top, side mounts.
I think the yellow spot of paint has always been there.
Honda uses a mustard yellow paint to mark things...like on the front lower control arm. I'll have to check for the marking on the mount on my car, but I'm pretty sure it's always been there.
Regardless, if the top mounts look fine (on the inside of the rubber flap) - no tears, then there's nothing to complain about.
