hi i was just wondering what all these mean. i mean i am fairly sure they are motors, if their not please don't call me an idiot i already know i am , just wanted to know what i've been reading on these forums and what i should look for when i buy my prelude. thanks alot

 

H = engine code (H, F are prelude and accord motors, B series is Civic/integra/3rd gen preludes)
xx = displacement (22= 2.2L, 23 = 2.3L)
A1 = revision basically....

there is no H21A1

What kind of prelude so you want to buy?

i don't know of an H21A1, unless it's JDM
all of the following are DOHC
H22A, JDM 2.2L VTEC
H22A1, USDM, 4th gen, closed deck, 2.2L VTEC
H22A4, USDM, 5th gen, open deck, 2.2L VTEC
H23A1, USDM, 4th gen Si, cloed deck, 2.3L non-VTEC

there was an H23 VTEC model in some accord, but i can't remember the exact code

well i have been looking at some between 92-96 not too sure what i'm looking for but i got a friend helpin me out a bit too but i really don't know what i'm looking and that's why i'm here. but if you or anyone has some suggestions that would be great.
