Acura Integra All Integra Except ITR

Test Pipe Question...I HAVE SEARCHED!! Cant find answer! HELP!

Default Test Pipe Question...I HAVE SEARCHED!! Cant find answer! HELP!

Alright i have a 1995 Integra GSR..How many "bung" are in the stock cat that need to be transfered to the Test Pipe..OBD 1.. Also do you guys know how long it will have to be? I have a stock header, and a 2.25 Apexi Catback

Only 1 bung for the OBD1 cat (only 1 O2 sensor). As for length, the test pipe should be the exact same length as your current cat, so you could measure that, as long as you're running a header and exhaust that are for the GSR (which you said you were).

dont mean to hijack, but while the topics up...my car is OBD2 and if i run a testpipe w/no 02 bung hole for my o2 sensor, will my car run any different? and if so, is there somehting i can do to avoid this?

if its OBD2 it wont run right with a test pipe because the readings by the second 02 will be way off and it will throw a cel, for an OBD1 car like mine the 02 is before the cat on the header pipe so a hi flow cat has nothing to do with the header

yea it will run different because it will mess up your oxygen map sensor and you will have your check engine light on..my friend just got that problem fixed this past tuesday

yea it will run different because it will mess up your oxygen map sensor and you will have your check engine light on..my friend just got that problem fixed this past tuesday
is there any way around it? or should i just not bother installing it?

do an OBD2-OBD1 conversion, i hope u dont live in CA tho because this along with anything else u do to a vehicle is illegal

Yeah, there are a couple of ways around it. Of these option, successful methods include:

- place a piece of electrical tape over the "check engine light" (CEL)
- purchae an emulator (somebody on this board used to sell them, maybe Zip), to trick the ECU into thinking everything's kosher
- wrap the unused, but still connected, O2 sensor in aluminum foil and tuck it somewhere secure; when the occassional CEL does pop up, just reset the ECU

as far as i know a 95 anything should be OBD1

but i hope u dont live in a state that does vcehicle inspections cuz ud fail visual for sure and if u lean out the fuel mixture u might pass smog but visual is an instant fail
