just curious of which guage clusters will fit in my 90 dx ? At the junk yard I saw a lot of 88-89 CRX's with the tach meters *I just want it for looks, i have a huge crack along the glass of mine and it looks like #$#$* so if i replace it, which one could I get it out of? would the 88-89 CRX's work? what other type of cars would work? thanks... this question was similar to someone, but he had a CRX

also meant to ask about bumpers ... was looking at a 90 DX bumper... but this one is plastic and looks a little different, would this still bolt on fine? what years bolt on? don't wanna waste the $60 he is asking for it

Find a 90-91 LX or Si cluster. I found one at a local junk yard for $15 and put it in my brother's baser-than-base '90 Civic... plugged right in AND the tach worked.

 

only one SI out there, it's already gone

didn't think about the LX, but only 90-91 lx's work?

Plug and plays will be 90-91 Cr-X or Civics any one with/without a tach will work. 88-89 need rewiring and also are more square where 90-91 are rounded

 

what type of wiring are you talking about? how bad is it?

LX cluster works great... I pulled it out of a 91 LX and put it in my bros hatch.

I'll go to the junkyard this weekend... I'll buy one if I find one. You pay for shipping and I'll get it out to you.

 

Just don't even bother. Get a 90-91 Civic Cluster with tach and plug and play.

I live right outside of Richmond, VA. I'll be headed there this weekend (probably Saturday) so I'll let you know if I come across one.

 

No dice, SteveeeO. They had an LX there but it was an auto. I'll take a look at another boneyard here shortly. There's some stuff I need for my car.

 

if you just need the plastic cover, any year cluster should work. i know i swapped a 90 to a 91, but i think the 88-89 is the same (cover wise) as the 90-91.

 

Yeah, I just plugged my 89 CRX Si cluster into my 88 Civic DX and it plugged in and worked no problem. The CRX plastic see through cover should be interchangable from 88-91.
