Default Anyone running Jun Stage 2?

curious as to the gains people are getting with jun stage 2. i already have itr springs and portflow retainers in my b18c1, so i am looking for cams that wont require a whole new valvetrain. jun2's fit that description. i already know what people are putting down with skunk2 stage 1's, so i am trying to compare them to the gains people are getting with jun stage 2's.

thanks in advance for the help

Id say there are too many factors involved to get an exact amount. It depends what other mods people have. You could probably search the recent threads and archives and get a good idea of what people are making.

you're right, i should probably be more specific.

i'm curious on what #'s jun stage 2's put out along with basic bolt-ons (jdm-sized header, hi flow cat, decent exhaust, maybe intake manifold), with stock valvetrain and possibly even stock ECU, but with dyno tuning.

i've done lots of searches. seems like people only care about jun stage 3, toda b or skunk2 stage 1 or 2. no one talks about jun stage 2s... maybe theres a reason for it heh....

Mike K had a good experience using the Jun2 intake cam and stock ITR exhaust cam. Might want to look into that, i think the best cams for stock compression ratio R's would probably be skunk stage 1's though. haven't seen any other cam come that close to 200 whp with fairly minor mods.

fluffnut this i knew i shoulda saved them...

offhand do you remember what results he got? i'm curious as to how much midrange was lost and how much peak whp he gained... torque cant change significantly i am guessing.

Jun 2 and 3 are Identical lift wise, etc...the only difference is that the Jun 2 carry 3 Degress more Duration on the the Intake side, where-as the Jun 3, carry it on the Exhaust Side.

So do you think JUN2 intake and JUN3 Exhaust would do well together?

Anyone running Jun Stage 2?
I do.... or better: I did.
Sold them away because I need money to buy a new engine...

Pretty good cam, high quality and good gains. But don`t use stock ITR valvespring. Use Toda valvetrain. Ask Sg tabout that.

The Jun 2 is too agressive, don`t underestimate those cams.

I often saw JUN 3 cams brake, but I never saw a JUN 2 crack....

I had this Idea about 6-months ago...but I guess ina All-Motor setup the 3 Degrees of Duration on the exhaust is essential to exhaust scavenging. It's there for a reason, so mixing them together, is slightly counter-productive.
