CATZ HID Problem
Just got my CATZ HID yesterday and last night I tried testing them. I had everything hooked up and instead of the lights staying on constantly, the bulb would just flicker. Does anyone know why this is happening? It doesn't seem to be igniting properly but if both bulbs do the same thing I don't believe anything is wrong with the bulbs, ballast, or ignitor. Any suggestions?
thats why you should've gotten philips....no problems...

Philips or not... that isn't the issue here
and Philips doesnt "make" a kit. Vendors bundle HID kits and throw in components made by alll different manufacturers. I would rather have a complete Catz kit which is known for their high quality. I just think there is a small error here that is causing his problems and is not really equipment related per se.

check http://www.fet-usa.com they list a couple of HID Specialists in the INternet vendor listings...
They have a H4 kit that has a solenoid to move the BULB, not the shield.

and why do you say that? Especially coming from someone who seems to need help installing a plug and play HID kit

The problem is due to a bad ground, or not getting enough power to ignite the bulbs fully. I had a similar problem with my Matrix, due to the daylight running lights

Why buy a kit with oodles of wires to mess with? Trevors kit comes with 2 wires.

As shown here it looks plug in play. Connect postive and negative and your set.
machaf,
Actually it depends on the application, but the picture above is for the pre-test of the bulb.
When you hook it up to the car, you hook up ground and a spade connector to the stock bulb harness and youre done.

A Philips kit is a full HID kit comprised of only Philips components. These kits have a much better reputation that Catz. Mercedes, Audi and BMW dont use catz, they use Philips and Bosch technology for their HID's.

More things to mount, more wires to connect, this is small instalation job, not plug and play.
This, is plug and play.
these are perfect.

Mercedes, Audi and BMW don't use Trevor's kits either. Same difference.
Catz uses Matsushita components which are OEM in Acura, Honda, and numerous other JDM applications. Same argument could be used here.
Philips name has been so bastardized in the aftermarket HID arena.
