s2k vs 330ci bimmer
Yep, the S pulls *Very* comfortably from a stop or from a roll. And yes...the S handles much better. The s2000 was designed for one thing only.....road racing. You cna't really compare a car that was designed SPECIFICALLY for road racing with a luxury coupe that was made to be generic in the performance department. The S is much lighter, it has a perfect 50/50 distribution, much harder suspension, and an engine that is mounted entirely behind the front axle of the car creating virtually no inertia. The car does pretty much whatever you want it to instantaneously.

When I had my S2k, I did race a 330 from a roll at 65 MPH on i880 (had my friend as my passenger). We ran up to about 130 mph and I was dead on his rear (he was infront when we started) I was actually backing of the gas since I almost hit him about 4 times.. Then at 130 I went right and passed him.. I say no contest at all.. I got a thumbs up from the indian guy who was driving it..
I don’t usually post in the S2000 forum however I do not think stock vs. stock a S2000 would smoke a 330 hands down. I know they are totally different cars, however we are debating a straight speed race.... And we all know a straight-line race is not the most difficult of tasks (unless you are behind the wheel of a 4000 hp top fuelly), as one of my fellow Honda-tech members put it "Any idiot can stomp on the gas and shift gears"..... on a racetrack, now that is a totally different argument.
To match similar cars from the different manufactures (Honda / BMW) then match a Z3 M series vs. the S… and we all know what would happen in this encounter – on the track or at the light…. M hands down!

I test drove one at a dealer. I was with two of my other friends. Making a total of 4 people in the 330ci Coupe I was test driving... and I must say... IT FRICKIN PULLED LIKE CRAZY WITH 4 PEOPLE! I was kind of surprised pulling so fast with 4 people in the car...
It felt weird.

ill take the s2000 over the z anyday of the week. I raced a new z about a month ago from a roll and I pounced all over him, see my signature below for mods. I had better races from an s2k.
and i havent found one 350 owner yet thats been willing to break in their engine against me on the open freeway.... but in the twisties? thats a whole different story, 350's bowdown
More so pick out ANY twisty road you'd like... I'll out-torque ANY S2k so severely pulling away from corners they'll regret Honda put a 4-banger in their roadster.
Bowdown my ***...

That board was pure ****.
The s2000 is a little roadster, it's sluggish up till 5k Rpms, but after that its pretty damn quick. It would still take the Beamer all day long, off the line and on. Oh, and by the way, the s2k handles a hell of alot better.

ve the s2k
