I use to go to this camp in NC every year with like 400 kids and every year at the end of the week's vacation, they handed out a video to everyone that showed people's faces that arrived, activities that occuried, interviews of campers, etc...

I plan on doing a lot of video taping at Expo and could possibly put together a video (probably an hour or so) of racing, interviews, installs, dynos, banquet, cars, fires, etc... It would also include a group photo picture and could be mailed to each person who wanted one at a low cost.

I think it would be a good idea for everyone to have for memories of the biggest Type R meet ever!!

 

 

There will be plenty of video cameras at the expo. Everyone should send all their vids to one guy (RealTypeR) so that "the video" can be created with the most material. I'm sure there will be several in car cameras to contribute footage.

My old Sony Handycam finally melted down or something, but the DSC-F707 is still up and kicking!

I'd consider taking an entrant's "Official" picture at registration or something,
and maybe make up some picture nametags or something for the banquet.

 

This might not be the right time to try this, but I have always wanted to put a bunch of cameras in one car, and then take all the footage and edit it into one killer video. Angles looking at the front, back, maybe sides, pedals, guage cluster, driver, etc. And then a bunch of cameras around the track to get some good drive-by shots.

I can supply a tiny camera that could mount on the bumper and feed a camcorder in the car.

Sounds like it would take a lot of coordination, but man would it be cool.

Anyway, I think you were mainly talking about a video to capture the people and the social elements of the expo. That's cool too.

nifty plan, I would be down for a video. i usually tape a lot at events like this, but i'll be working the event so i wont have much time to be taping stuff. it will be nice to see what i miss

Sounds like a great idea, I know I'd love to have a well designed video of the Expo. Hopefully I'll be bring a video camera as well. Using video from25+ different people would take a lot of time and effort though. I have no problem shelling out some money, and I'm sure others wouldn't either.

I want to see car and driver photos of everyone who comes out. The hybrid board did this for one of their trackdays, was cool to put faces and cars together.

I plan to hopefully shoot some video and get my friend who can edit awesome, help me out with that.

in fact as soon as i get a dig camcorder i'm putting all my footage of vir passing and hitting the hazards on ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRs into one long video....specially the one passing a yellow arrrrrr with a mugen wing.....
