Hey guys one of my friends asked me if i can post this up for them. He has a 93vtec prelude.....the tail lights and dash lights on his '93 VTEC Prelude are not
working though tthe rest of the lights are. he said he checked the fuses
and everything looks normal. Plus the temp and fuel gauges dont dim
when the lights are turned on and the door chime does not come on
when the lights are left on and the driver's door is open. Anyone
have this happen? Any suggestions?

 

It sounds like his dimmer brain is fried.... HAHA, i feel smart knowing something... Well, mine did it and i spent about 15 hours testing wires and all kinds of bullshit just to figure it out... When you take the guages out of the dash there is a small black box located behind the guage cover. The box should be inside a larger white casing like thing. I thought this box might be to something else like my air bags or soemthing, but I traced the wires to it.. I then, went to a junk yard and bought a new one for $10 and connected it and everythign was good again... I am sure this will do the trick. sounds identical to my problem.
