I am selling a full set of 95 airbags, srs module, and complete wiring harness. What type of minor modifications need to be made to make this 95 SRS system work in a 98 Teg. Ive heard that one plug has to be changed out but do not know the specifics. If anyone can tell me what needs to be done to make this work please help me out. Ive got a buyer if I can explain to him how to do it. Thanks.

 

I would like to know this as well.. I have heard you must change the front cover to make that work.

 

Your in luck ive been researching this topic. Heres some info,94-95 integra airbags will only fit those years integras as they are OBD I, they will also fit 92-95 civics. The reason being is the cable reel and plugs on both the reel and the airbag itself changed on the 96 and up integras. You are right on changing the plug, You could either change the plug on the airbag side, Which I would NOT recommend, Might cause it to deploy accidently (OUCH!). Or you could change the plug on the cable reel side, (Much better) The only problem I would see with doing that is the wires going into the plug harness are both the same color, So how do u tell which one is which? IE(negative or positive) and what would happen if you wired it up wrong and then plugged in back in? Would just the SRS light come on or would it cause it deploy? Im still trying to find the answers to those questions but I hope some of the info I gave you is helpful.

Also is there a sequence that everything must be installed?

right in the middle where the floorboard/firewall meet behind the dash... behind the radio, if you will... follow the yellow wires.. they ground right there too... just pull the carpet up a little... can't miss it.

 

that's where it is in a 96, so i'm assuming 96-98 would be, at the very least, the same.... both obd2a
