Prelude powered Civic Vs. Type R
This guy I know has an H22 in a EK (00 I think?). Apparently very fast, has it all dialed in an' ****. Anyone have any experience running these things? Don't want to run him and get the ol' doors blown off.
Thanks

Yeah, I was already taking into account power to weight ratios and figured I'd get dusted. Both of us have full interiors. Regardless, I'm sure the driver has a lot to say about things as well. Oh well. The Typie IS STILL COOLER.

so my b16 powered hatch destroyed itrs
my b20 powered hatch destroyed itrs
i'm guessing 2.2 liters h22 will also destroy the itr.....
actually an ek hatch usually weighs under 2400lb. at least my friends did when it was totally stock.
the hp has nothing to do with the h22a hatch easily destroying an itr. the torque is the factor.

isnt the h22 heavier than the stock civic d series motor? that could be a factor in the weight. cuase i think the ek hatch was in the 2300 lb range.

engine/tranny..so it can't be that bad as far as weight is a concern
who cares anyways when u get sooo much more torque and the extra weight
just means more downforce in the front end for a front wheel drive vehicle.
if you want straightline accelleration the H22 is hard to beat.
i love r's, but in this race, unless the driver of that civic w/H22 sucks,
the r will get raped.

oh yah, i would try boring out the block, getting 84.5 pistons, aggressive cams,
jdm final drive or something *i don't think racers have that many options when
it comes to the H22's tranny gearing* ...etc etc...talk to jeff from IB or SGT or
cheetah is it? or even ericks racing.
