Was at a cycle salvage yard today...
The dealer i've bought my bikes from told me that in an average summer they have 4-5 people crash as ther leaving the driveway!!!!Now that has to be imbarrasing
I was talking to one of the shop boys at the local suzuki dealer earlier this year. Guy bought his GF a new GSXR-600 . On their way taking it home on a busy street (45mph), she turned to ask him a question.. and piled into the back of a stopped car. Bike got stuffed under the car.. total loss. Fortunatly, she was wearing gear and basically slid up the car and didn't suffer any major damage.. but still.
my friend is a motorcycle salesman he said out of the last six gsxr 1000's (02) he sold only 2 are still on the road and 2 people won't be coming back.
stupid people...
nothing beats the guy at the harley/buell dealer dropping his brand new v-rod pulling out of the parking lot only to get hit by a car (funning cause the car was only going 5mph)

I realize this is turning into a "war story" thread...
Got to see some guy get "schooled" in a really odd way. It was on a circular road inside the parking lot of a stadium. The traffic was slow of course, maybe 10mph. Apparently he got tired of going slow and decided to pass the car in front. Being a fast sport bike, it didn't take long to get up to about 40mph, where he ran straight into the on-coming car! All this at traffic speeds of 10mph plus the car he passed was low, so he had a clear view of "what was coming".
