Default Pix of our ACT 12lb steel flywheel

Our new 12 lb steel flywheel came in today on the ugly brown truck. This will give us an option to not being stuck running the 8 lb wheel when there is extra good traction at the strip.

rear

Note the balancing on the back side

How much are those things? Does ACT manufacture them or just market them? I wonder if they have an application for the d16a6...

Ours has a retail of $249. No idea of the street price. It does come balanced so it's ready to go.

Are there any numbers as to how much Torque/HP each of the flywheels can handle? I'm wondering if the 8lb one can be used for turbo'd car or not.

I would assume the street is the 12 lbs and the strip is the 8 lbs? Good prices for a great flywheel..
