On my way home this eveing i was running it kinda hard and then the check engine light came on i pulled the panel and it was falshing 8 times and 4 times and it was runnign real rough i reset the computer and it threw just a 8 flashes when you start the car up up after restarting the car it runs fine utill you give it alot of throtle then it comes and the motor runs bad. what could this be and where should i start to look for the problem.

nobody had this problem, i have be fidling with car some and it seams to run ok until the car warms up, it still has the code but doe snot run bad, until it gets hot.

code 8 = TDC position
code 4 = crank angle
is your car a dx? also check your wiring/connections

 

my car is an si sovery little wiring changes were made.

 

It sounds like the infamous 1988-1991 distributer problems.

 

will the dizzy out of my old si engine fit in on the ZC motor?

 

It'll fit, but wont actually bolt up because the bolt pattern is differnt, if you can find some way to hold it in place it should work.
