Well, recently a relationship between me and a buyer has become toast due to me not seeing his IM's. And him assuming that I was trying to ignore him after he sent payment. I was wondering if everyone else has these problems, or if it is my computer?
Sometimes when I try to send IM it doesn't go through, and sometimes when people IM me it is blank, with no name of sender or any buttons to push on the box, just blank. I am using Direct Tv DSL which is going out of business. Thanks for the replies, I just need some proof that I was not trying to ignore kkim.

Happens to me from time to time. If im expecting a message or doing business on the board I will check my IM history.
Check IM History if you are waiting to hear from someone.
Sometimes I do not wait (or the page takes a long time to load) until the "Type your new Instant Message below, then click send." message shows up in the IM window. If that is not displayed, the page isn't fully loaded and most likely you won't be able to send an IM. I always get IM's after being offline for a while, but like everything else online and with computers, nothing is perfect. Happens from time to time for everyone I"m sure.

when these problems occur, clean out your hard drives of all temp internet files and cookies. when you come back and log on, the IM's should pop up again. If you want to make sure you did't miss any, check IM History.

In "my profile"
- reset forum cookies
In "user options"
-turn off "show images while browsing"
-turn off "avatars"
-turn off "signatures"
-------------------------
Then delete all cookies from Internet Explorer & delete all temporary internet files (disk cleanup)
restart
then see if the problem continues
I have been having the same problem on and off for 6 months.
