I am interested in the pager in the Clifford Matrix RS3 but wish to use the alarm system from a Clifford Avantguard 4 since the Avantguard offers better protection than a Matrix. I really wish that Clifford made a pager for the Avantguard 4, but since they don't, would it be possible to use the pager from a Matrix RS3? Does Clifford sell just the RS3 pager w/o the alarm?

im interested in maye hooking up a crimestopper pager, just so long as it beeps when someone's breaking in, i dont need it to have pretty pictures and flashing icons


my guess is that the matrix is one unit, the pager electronics are part of the alarm itself, and I dont think you can link the two units without having some type of complications.

 

Wont work. i tryed it i just bought ther matrix rs3 alarm. awesome. best alarm i have bought great price too. perfect for my ride. Clifford

 

Why waste the cash it's the same dam unit as the Viper 790 VX and the Pythlon 880.

Just get the one with the pager, the rang isn't all that, you will find that out later. it's not very good in the mall

Just make sure u get the extras. Like Backup Battery and Self Powered Speaker, Motion Dector and The Glass sensor and wire 3 kill switchs all the way around the car. Fuel Cut off, and Put a Club and Autolocker, and u should be ok for a bit

 

The pager has saved me, u can get it to work with a Cliffort Vangurd, but it's makes u run 2 sets of alarms and it was a bitch to wire up, i would have a shop do it for u, there is a good one in the bay that will do it, 2 bad u don't live here

 

how much did the install run?

 

I do all the internet stuff for the site and they are my boys. It would be alot more for u, ill tell u that much

Install on a Cliffort Unit takes 8 hours to 2 days to install, If u get eveything with the jacks and all the extras.

They run 200 to 600 for install

 

For the Pager Units they run 150 to 400, the install for mine took like less then 2 hours tho

 

Personally I think most of that stuff is overkill.

With an alarm you need: Shock sensor, entry point protection, hood pin, siren with battery backup.

I also added a manual fuel line cut off myself that has a special switch hidden; for when car is parked in areas I worry about.

Thats one thing I've always had my doubts about....I havent heard that much success about people stopping someone from stealing their car due to a pager. Chances are, you arent going out there because you think they got a gun so you call the cops, and by the time the cops show up, they are gone with your ride.
