i have one of these sittin in my garage along with a distributor that has the fuel pump attached to it, the pump is broken...but i got these with my dx motor from japan...i was wondering if these had any value or should i just toss them out to the junk yard

 

do not toss 'em! they have crazy JDM appeal, and if you research them, a bit you can find more info perhaps.. maybe a good $$$ maker on ebay for you, or a good power maker for one of us here.

are they Carbs (old school) or Individual Throttle Bodies (fuel injection)?

 

carbs directly from japan... i had to take all that off to put my fuel injection on the motor...

 

im lookin to get rid of them..so id prefer to give them to someone here at H-T...

I threw mine in the trash had the same thing a mechnaical fuel pump was sweet though! It's JDM yo is what I said as I tossed it in the dumpster you might get a stupid JDM crazy out of his mind ***** to get it but doubt it. Say something like for drag racing. But hoenstly it's nothing special. It's funny to look at the internals on the dist and see the coil is on the opposite side and stuff.

 

They are really carburated. The other catch is your head has to have a opening for the mechanical fuel pump if you wish to use that which I think you need to. ON USDM heads it's just a cast whole, but on there's it's actually open and you have to put a block plate in. I guess you might be able to make something crazy out of it, if you had the head to play with as well. I had fun looking at how different it was that was for sure but in the end pitched due to way to many unknown vacum lines.
