I am looking to get these tires in 205/45/16 for my Eg.
Looking at tirerack.com the tires are WR speed rated and on tires.com they are ZR.

Today I am getting the page can not be displayed when I click on the details for the Kumho tires at tires.com

Are there different speed ratings for the same Kumho tires or is this a misprint?

I've never even heard of a WR rating. I thought it was ZR for high performance tires.

Just hoping someone can clear all this up for me so I can order the 712 tires.

 

It is not a misprint, they are different tires. The W rating is a higher speed rating than the z. I had w rated 712s on my 00 teg.

 

So, both are pretty much the same quality?

I doubt I'll ever be doing 100+ anyhow daily driving!

Either one of them will do fine for your car, I had the W ones on my integra GSR and loved them. They will be my replacement tires here soon.

 

Straight copy / paste from an e-mail I sent Kumho:

"Jonathan--The 712 205/45/16 is rated ZR, the code of the tire is 1950."

I'm going to get them from tires.com anyhow which has the ZR rated ones. Those are the ones that were on my 98 LX and I enjoyed them!
