Transmission Fluid

What brand/type/thickness of tranny fluid do you all use?

Somebody STRONGLY recommended I use synthetic fluid for the tranny. What do you all think about that?

Make sure you use TRANSMISSION fluid and not motor oil.

HKS FF/Gear works very well for me

No way, your synchros require some friction to work properly, and synth is too slick. Stick to OEM.

I used Redline, Synchroshift and now I'm back to Honda MTF which is what is giving the best results

synthetic gear lubes are usually thicker and that causes gear crunch when shifting at very low rpms.(in honda trans) i tried a couple different brands. not worth it.

I used NEO on this tranny for a bit. I noticed that shifting got a bit smoother, but after problems, I am skeptical about it. Makes me wonder if I used the wrong thing on my car. Are there different types of mtf that NEO makes?

I heard that the honda mtf will not be as good for drag shifting as a synthetic like NEO will... but then again, i used it, and I am getting a new tranny

Of course this could have just been a bad tranny from day 1.
