Default Help on my Alarm

I just bought a new alarm system.. the problem is the shock sensor antenna.. its very short, it only reaches my right fender under my hood.. and it doesn't set the alarm off if i hit the door, just if i knock or shake the right fender.. is there a way i can extend this antenna throughout my whole car??

suggestions pleases

shock sensor antenna? whats that?

anyway I think your shock sensor is probably mounted incorrectly... its probably strapped on the steering column or something making the wheels and fenders/front end more sensitive than the rear of the car and other parts.. try relocating it and having it secured to a center part of your car for more even coverage..

i'm not sure if its the shock sensor.. but its a lil antenna wire that triggers the alarm.. its too short to put the alarm in the center of teh car. i mounted the alarm under my hook under my short ram intake..

how can i extend da sensor wire without having to cut it?

why in the **** would you install an alarm under your hood in the engine bay?? thats the most retarded place ive ever heard of to mount it.. it should be under the dash or hidden in the vehicle itsself.. is this on of those cheapo 2-3 wire hookup alarms where all you need to do is give it power and ground?? i know it doesnt lock and unlock the doors from the engine bay.. go get an alarm that is worth it

just sayin thats not a great alarm if it under the hood and all a thieve has to do is pop the hood on your teg (which doesnt take much at all) and remove the alarm.. now if your talkin about just having the SIREN itsself under the good thats ok its where most sirens go.. but this alarm wont do anything for you except make noise
