Default Ran my car... have questions... thanks

ran my car and got a 14.5 with a 2.5 60' at about 98 mph. i couldnt get traction and couldnt find a sweet spot to launch at. i just launch mostly at low rpms and sometimes at idle, took a bit for my vtec engage i have a 95 cx with a type r swap, intake, and exhaust. i ran on street tires which i found out is hard to launch on with this setup. can anyone tell me anything that could improve my times or any info, potential of the car?

I had a similar problem, I could not get my 60' times below 2.3 with street tires. Best times were 14.2-14.3's. Put slicks on and got a 2.082 60' and a 13.687 at Fontana Saturday. That was my one and only run. With more practice my times would have been even better. Get slicks

i went to fontana on sunday, wish u would have made a post and we could have met up. so if i ran a 14.5 with a 2.5 60', then with slicks and a 2.0 60' , u think i can run mid 13s?

edit: what about some nitto drag radials? , id like to run what i run the same tires i run with on the street too. ever tried them with your honda?

Never tried the drag radials. I have heard good things about them though. Read through some of the posts in the drag racing forum, there is some good info there.

hey man if you have a ITR motor in a EG cx and put some baby slicks on you car you should be running a 13.0 all day, and with those slicks i bet you can get ur 60' down to a 1.8 or maybe a 1.7, by the way what year motor is it?

You'll definately be at least mid 13s with slicks. With a gsr motor in my eg on 20x8x14 slicks...I ran 14.2 at Palmdale...which is good for 13.7 sea level. 1.95 60ft. Only got one run...so I probably could have improved a bit.
