my freind has one of these motors and its a pepy little thing and revs nice and fast. but i was wondering if any one had any experince turboing it and would a apex turbo kit for a d16 work on it. also thoughts on destroking and turboing.

 

I'm sorry I don't have much experience with the D15B, but I can't imagine it would be THAT much different than the D16Z6 implementations. I'm really just posting so other tools won't flame you. Many people don't know the D15B VTEC exists. But, there are a variety of options for it, as the link I posted will tell you.

the d15s have smaller rods than the d16's Do not turbo without rebuilding with stronger internals, or getting a d16 block, but yes a turbo kit for the d16 will work, for a month intil you snap the d15's rods.

 

I don't believe this "different rods" crap in the D15's. It's all the same **** i think. Anybody have something to show me? I've been boosting on a D15B7 and everything is great.

 

JDM D15B has bigger rods than D15b7.
