Police sirens for car alarms?
Anyone know the legality of implementing police sirens into car alarms? Nobody seems to care when hearing the regular patterned sound of the majority of alarms out there, but people will tend to look if it sounded like an emergency vehicle.
I'm guessing it would be illegal (impersonating an emergency vehicle?), but anybody that's positive please let me know.
Are there any other particular sirens out there that stand out from the rest?

I know here in Cali, it's illegal, cause I had one and my brother's a cop, and he told me not to put it on my car or it could be a $10,000 fine and/or jail time. But I think it depends on the state what the punishment is. Plus it would wear your battery out pretty fast going off without the car running.
Judging from the large fine in California, it's safe to say that law enforcement, in general, wouldn't appreciate emergency sirens going off "by accident."
I guess the next best thing would be multiple air horns. I'm aiming for a set of triple air horns mounted in the front and the rear of the car with another siren or air horn for the interior. And if I can't have police sirens, strobe lights and brakelight cutoffs will have to do. A headlight cutoff sounds like a good idea too (since thieves like to work at night)...though I haven't heard of anyone doing anything like that.
