Is my honda dealership getto??
Ok i have done a ton for tranny rebuilds, quaifes and tranny stuff. I have always used hondabond and never had a problem. NEVER. So I call my dealership and ask if they have any in stock, they say yes so i make the trip to them. I get there ask for the stuff and he sets a tube of GM black RTV. I say this is not hondabond. and i came all the way up here for the real stuff. He says we this is what all our tech use. I went ahead and ordered the hondabond. I have used the gm stuff at work on gms and i dont like it, it just seems to break down in oil. Any ways what do you guys think. I would say if honda builds there super reliable trannys with hondabond then so should the dealership when working on them. All coments welcome
haha...last time I went to my Honda dealership for Hondabond, they told me not to waist my money and to just get RVT liquid gasket...
I went ahead and "waisted" my money...

yea, get the grey silicone. permatex makes both the black and grey. i loved how the grey one cured and i practically use it for everything. i even use it to seal subwoofer enclosures since they set very stiff.
