my girlfriends father has a 91 crx si and he was driving on the highway when the timing belt busted in half. Now there are two cylinders that are no longer good. he is looking for another engine and wants to buy asap. Does any one know where to get one or is selling one. The engine is the stock one or anything that is 500or less or at least something he could afford. to fix the damage the mechanics want to charge like 2k. please any help would be great.

Pick up an AutoTrader, for imports, at just about any gas station. Look in the back pages and there should be at least 10 different ads about shops selling replacement engines abnd how they swap them blah blah blah.

 

the zc sounds good, where are you located. he has a pickup truck and the engine will fit.

i'll check out the auto trader also.

 

I have a 88-91 jdm b16 block that needs new rings. The walls are good and so are the pistons. It's just the block, not the head. 125 plus shipping if you want it.

i just called the father and he said maybe around the middle of next month. do you think that the 400 or 500 will still be good to go.

 

are you the only one at that number? if you don't want to give out your name i'll just email or call once we are ready to buy. he says he has no problem with going up there to get the engine. any warranties?
