So ya..more suspicous cars at my house..
Woke up only for my mom to tell me that at 3am what looks to be a maroon mercury cougar, older, with a broken muffler was sittin in the driveway..as they pulled under the street light at the edge of my driveway..there sites to black guys in the car...few mins later, they take off and go back the way they came..

As you all know in the past i had some weird cars in front of the house in the past...never in the driveway, and never this late at nite..so my mom called the cops and told them.

here is the thing. i got my fuel cut off switch in room...
Called. "SPST-Heavy Duty, Automotive Flip Switch" Contacts rates 25A at 12VDC...This the right one? Radio Shack part number 275-708? I neeed to get this in my car.....Any help would be great!

got a pet dog? put him in the backseat. put your car in the garage.
you could try and call the cops and let em know, dont think they would really care, but you could ask em to patrol the area everynow and then.

 

1. No dog
2. No garage.
3. Cops here do care they are asses when you are wrong, but they will help...thanks to my mom..if it was a punk kid makin the complaints.no, they wouldnt care.

 

Make your car undriveable when you park it at night. If people are scoping it out at 3 A.M., it won't be long before somebody tries to jack it. Ignition kill, fuel cut, some sort of steering wheel/brake pedal lock. Pull the plug wires when you park it.
Thieves

 

guard your car dude get an alarm, the club and **** same thing happend to me there was a car parked across my house late at nights so I called the cops and they said they would check it out but ofcourse they never stupid cops and sure enough my car was broken into...

 

If you can see the car from any part of the house, set up a camera and roll tape every night, just like a convenience store. This way, if your car does get jacked, you'll see who the stupid ***** were who did it. Then you can tell the cops and most likel;y these thieves will have rap sheets, etc. already and will fit a profile. Or, if it's someone you kow, you'll have the evidence to throw down a big *** whoopin'.

My best advice is to park the car in a different place or go the sleeper route. Alarms and clubs and autol;ocks only do so much. Hopefully the thieves are just stupid thugs and stunnas and not pros.

When i got in an accident...i brought it to this body shop in milford ct... J &R auto body...they were asses there, so i went next store to traynor..they were very nice at traynor. Traynor said that J&R was in the news many times for using stolen parts...Ever since i have been there...they know my address, etc..I wonder if they are souting my car....

get an interior motion sensor and exterior one. set two 140 decible horns in the dash pointing forward at the driver and passenger seats, mount strobe lights inthe defroster vents on in the dash. so that if they do get inthey will go deaf and two if they still persist in driving around with 280 db horns blowing at em they while their eardrums are bleeding, they will aslo have to contecd with a bright strobe light flashing intheir eyes. oh an dhook all this up to an alternat e pwer source. theives can get into your car they can jack it if the fuel system is not working with a tow truck but man will it raise some suspicion when the cops see that thing roloing around making noise and flashing likghts(throwing all the peopel watching this into eptileptic seizures)

 

f*ck dude, you're in CT? where at? i'm in the farmington area and all I do is park my car close so to a window where I can see it and hear it if the alarm goes off....if you don't want to **** around, get a gun permit and buy a gun, honestly....shoot a dude in the knees and I swear he'll never come back for your car......

 

Besides having a gun ready I would have someone park behing your car

 

i used to have people drive around my block and stop next to my car or park behind it... it was pretty damn annoying. at one point, everytime a car did that... i came outside with a bat and my "piece" in my sweater. they would leave with the quickness. cops cant really do much unless they catch the guys in the act. putting on an autoloc, club, kill switches, and backup siren really does give you some piece of mind. doesnt eliminate bullshit like this... but it helps.

 

This is the only thing u wil need!

 

remember to put it on your clutch not your brakes because they can still drive off wit it and just use the e-brakes to stop unless you have an auto of course!!

 

Take out the clip that completes the circuit for the injectors to fire. Disconnect the ground to the starter, get an AutoLock, get an alarm if you don't already and lastly get a pager for the alarm.


There is NO WAY someone is going to take you car. They would have to have the fuel clip with them to plug in to get the injectors to fire....they would first have to recognize this problem. Secondly they would have to be real smart/anylize fast as hell to realize you disconnected the starter. The Autolock is a very relaible deterant as well. Bear in mind that at least for a few moments your alarm will have been going off and you will have gotten paged (have that pager right next to your bed).

Even a good theif will get a certain amount of anxiety/nervousness when stealing a car. I do not think that anyone will be able to recognize and contend with all the above obstacles in a very short period of time while under stress.

If you add a fuel cut switch and one of the removeable steering wheels to the mix I do beleive your car will be officially unstealable (unless a flatbed is used).

u can just take out ur ecu tats wat my friends do!!

 

I want something easy and not time consuming, i am not going to remove my ecu all the time..if they really want it then, take it, lol. fuel cut off is good

 

i've heard the easiest thing to do is either install a k*ll switch which cuts the fuel line (hide it in a stealth spot) or remove some of the fuses before activating the alarm. that way, as soon as they break into the car you have time to get to it and they won't be able to start it because of the missing fuses or the k*ll switch.

we sometimes forget the easist of things...if you have a driveway..why not add motion dection type lighting...roaches hate lights and it works or install floods and leave them on a night...who want to risk getting seen.....also get a security system
most large chains have systems from 200-300 installed ( heck even locals have house brands for that price) I know security ranks as the lowest on many peeps minds ( it not as cool as the swap,rims,new JDM toy) but it can help you keep what you have worked so hard for.

 

Well, I know alot fo cars that come with fuel cut-off switches... I undestand that most people dont know they have them, or what they do.... A couple of cars our family owns has them... They are located in the trunk behind the carpeting... This seems to be time consuming, but puttin one on isnt too hard, and you could put it in a good spot (not a obvious one)... By, obvious... put it under the dash... then it sticks out like a sore thumb! Maybe have it in plain view, but hidden at the same time... My fuel cut-off switch is pretty cool... Its hidden in my ash tray... No one can see it at all, and being dark in the tray... Its not visible at all... Just got to stick ur finger and feel for it... This sounds funny right? Its obvious, yet not a spot where a panicing theif would look.. I have heard of consoles, on existing switches like hazards or cruise control that r now used for something else! Fuel cutoff is easiest and by far the best in my book... If they got real time, they can take care of it.... But the autolock is the only thing i know that is Supposedly fullproof!

Personally, I would accept the price of insomnia for 2 weeks, and wait in a dark bedroom with a .22 rifle loaded with rubber bullet rounds, if they come, and get out, shoot their asses.
