93 Prelude.. questions

I am buying a 93 Prelude next weekend and had some questions. I am shooting for around 250whp all-motor. I will do all new internals, i/h/e, vafc and so on. What all is involved in getting there all-motor?
I'll know tomorrow which trim it is, I'm praying its got the H22 already, but H23 will be fine cause thats only a longblock/ecu swap.
If it has the F22, will I need a complete swap? If so, then I'll just do that for now and do the buildup in a couple months.
Any help is appreciated.

You will need a complete swap if it is an f22.Speaking from lots of experience 250whp with either h22 or h23 is asking alot all motor.I know both Todd and myself spent alot of money on our all motor ludes and unfortunately he never got to dyno his but with everything on my all motor h23 it was only about 200 to the wheels.Of course if you want all out race an h22 with extremely high compression and the right fuel management you can see 250 to the wheels but you wont be able to drive it on the street.
that will be close to impossible.

Well, ****. Guess that wont be a goal then. I could always shoot for 200whp and spray, but I'd rather not go that route.
So, if this prelude has the f22 or H23, would I be better off just rebuilding/building the motor and boosting? I know the h23 would do 250whp without 10k in expenses, but the f22 wont since its only 135hp crack stock.

the f22 is worthless
its all possible but its not cheap the h22 and h23 are both good motors the h22 is a good NA motor ... my best advice is plan it right from the beginning wasting your money on replacing different parts down the road just adds to your budget so find a goal and what your going to do and stay on track AND HUNT FOR DEALS, if you look hard and take your time you can find parts in group buys or on sale which really helps, if you mail order buy more at a time and save on shipping and is you buy more you are more likely to get a price break
