From your UserID, it sounds like you want a performance vehicle. 1st gen CRXs are not the prime choice for this, as their aftermarket support has dwindled down to about nothing nowdays. You would be better off looking for a 88-91 Civic/CRX or a 92-95 Civic. These will be the cheapest vehicles, and offer good aftermarket support. They are also some of the most abundent Hondas around. So to answer your question, no this is not a good deal (174k miles is quite a few, even for a Honda). Look elsewhere.
