168mph
has anyone been able to get their nsx (in near stock condition) to go faster than 168? *someone might have* opened her up last night on a long downhill stretch and *they claim* she didn't seem to want to go any faster. all *that person* has is a comptech exhaust. i'm sure forced induction would improve the top speed. any feedback?

Have not driven that fast I have got to 150 no problem the theroretical speeds can be found here. obviosly no matter how much power you have you can't go faster than what redline will deliver.
i was remarking about the topic starter saying that "forced induction would make the top speed faster"
this is theoretically true. but the engine would be running so hot, and under so much stress, and for so long, that it would most likely **** up the car.

Top speed on a stock '91-01 NSX is 168 mph, and it's 175 on an '02-03. It's drag limited; you will hit top speed in top gear but it won't accelerate all the way to redline with the stock drivetrain. If you had enough power to reach redline in the top gear, you would be going 186 mph with a '91-96 five-speed, and 202 mph with a '97+ six-speed.

What do those cars feel like @ 168? My 93 GT Mustang felt like it was going to rattle apart when I eventually got it up to 140 (speedo indicated--dont' know how accurate the stock speedo is) Car is like a rolling brick!

wasn't the civic that hit 200+ supercharged?
