Default Mugen Front End Conversion

Hey guys, I was just wondering what is necessary for the full Mugen Front end conversion. The R got into an accident unfortunately and now is the time to get a conversion. I've always wanted one but have no idea as far as what items are necessary for it to fit and especially the cost of the whole project; excluding labor. Need info ASAP for the car will be in the shop early this upcoming week. Thanks in advance.

Get a JDM OE Frontend and buy the mugen bumper. Won't be cheap at all...

then dont do it, it isnt a mugen front end conversion, first you have to convert your usdm front end into a jdm front end which requires around 5K and then youll have to buy the mugen bumper, sounds like you need to research before u ask ghey questions, thanks

You go out and buy an OEM JDM front
Then you call King and order the Mugen Front bumper and hood.

It should cost you around 7GS to finish the full conversion and you will have a leftover bumper and hood

First thing you have to do is you need to convert the Front end to JDM.
This is done but Changing the Radiator Support. This includes the hood latch.
After this is done, the headlights and everything can be bolted up with the fenders. The JDM front is actually longer than the USDM so this needs to be done for everthing to fit. Fender brackets and fender liners will be needed for it to be clean and after thats done, all you need is the mugen front end.

Do a search on the parts list for a JDM front end conversion. You will need all that except for the bumper.

personally unless you are balling out of control I'd just get the knock off fiberglass mugen front end (JDM) and you can buy the conv. with the knockoff for about $300 more than just the regular conv.

He should do that if he wants to make the car look crappy Why downgrade from the stock urethane bumper that looks good to a fiberglass bumper?

Thanks for the smartass reply Casey. IF you don't have anything productive to say don't ******* say anything at all, but what you said was helpfull; thanks. FYI, I did my search and I didn't find what I was looking for, but results that came up were somewhat helpful. Secondly, my car got into an accident like two days ago and it will be in the body shop this week. Unlike most people, I have a JOB; H-T is not my first priority. I have no real time to freaking linger on this board for hours; searching for stuff which require precise wording, when I can just ask and get a reply in a matter of minutes. On another note, this is a web forum, questions are meant to be asked, and NO QUESTION IS GHEY!!!! Just cause you have more posts than me doesn't mean you're superior and know it all!! You just post-*****!! I've been on this site for about 2 and half years right now, and have gotten vast amount of knowledge, especially from the people who used to post back in the day. For the rest who replied; thanks!! It was helpfull. Now where do I go to purchase a legit piece for a good price??

I have a job, too. Go to king motorsports' website for the entire mugen front end. http://www.kingmotorsports.com/ I don't know where else you could buy the mugen front end on short notice. It is very expensive, even compared to the OEM JDM front end.

Mugen doesn't make a "front end conversion". They make a replacement front bumper cover that is around $1300, and a replacement hood that is around $1600.

Expensive. PLUS paint, install, and fenders, light housings, etc.

You should get a hold of Mike at IPS Racing. He could definitely tell you what you need for parts and how much money you would be looking at.

I think the tone of the post might not have been warranted, but he speaks the truth
and layed the smack-down
also, how long would it take to finish the whole "mugen conversion" in the shop?

I was just at the bodyshop today; they estimated that the work will take about a month and a half; that's non-JDM. Well the car basically needs 4 new wheels; a whole new drivers side from front to back, rear bumper, and front bumper. Don't even ask how it happened, but thank God everyone's allright and the car isn't totalled. All I can say is that the car lost control, spun out several times on the expressway and hit a van; where all the damage came from. But as I understand, the price listed on King Motorsports is indeed of the bumper itself. So what I need is basically a JDM front end conversion kit with the Mugen bumper. I talked to the body shop and they said that they can do it, but if it costs more than what insurance pays, its coming right off my pocket, so I don't know as of yet if its worth it or not!! So the whole project is gonna take a while; have to wait for it to be shipped first, then in it goes on from there. Thanks for the replies and sorry if I offended anyone.
-Justin

Why not just keep the USDM front?

Well there are three major reasons why I want the JDM front end, especially with the Mugen front.
1.) Its unique
2.) My car is black; not many black R's nonetheless Integras have the JDM front end conversion
3.) I have a chance right now without spending out of my pockets, and the car is already in pieces anyways.

Thats IF everything comes to about the same price insurance is giving the bodyshop for what they estimate. I'm completely happy with the USDM front, and I really wouldn't mind if I had that anyways. Both looks good!!

Not really.

There are tons of them. In fact a guy on this board has a Mugen conversion on his car. His SN is EPGonzales.
3.) I have a chance right now without spending out of my pockets, and the car is already in pieces anyways.
You think your insurance is goign to pay for a Mugen bumper and JDM conversion THEN paint it? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! You will be paying for this out of pocket. USDM frotns go for about 3500 to replace. Thats what you will be getting from your insurace, then you have to pay for the rest of it.

Thats IF everything comes to about the same price insurance is giving the bodyshop for what they estimate. I'm completely happy with the USDM front, and I really wouldn't mind if I had that anyways. Both looks good!!

Well it wont come out that way Ill tell you that right now.

Hey Smartass #2 (BDiddy):
1.) Did I not say the Mugen front-end?????? Come to Chicago and tell me how many Mugen front ends you see!!!
2.) Just because Esteban has one doesn't mean there are a ton of Black cars with it; again in CHICAGO!!
3.) Did I not explain what I just said!! I said IF; yes the word capitalized. IF it costs more than what insurance will give me, THEN I will not go through it!!! I haven't gotten a quote yet and chances are that I WON'T (WILL NOT) go with the whole front end.

BDiddy, I am not in Socal right now where everyone and there momma has a JDM front end. If you come to Chicago, I will more than be happy to give you the tour of the ricers here!! The most common conversions here are the factory JDM conversion, NOT MUGEN!!! Most of these conversions are done to White, Yellow, rarely black and CUSTOM colored cars. I'm talking about the MUGEN front end, not the JDM. Seems like someone's a little to quick to jump the gun. Read CAREFULLY before you judge!!!
