Hello everyone,
My Dad went out to the local salvage yard and saw a nice little CRX. The car has no major body damage except for the right front fender. Someone has bought the seats out of it already and they have ripped the poor Stereo out as well. i'm going to call them tomorrow and ask them a few questions. Does anyone know what i should ask? By the way, i'm 14 and this will be the first car i'll ever purchase. I will probably end up with a B Series swap and i've heard that 88-91 rex's are the most desirable ones for swaps. I dont know the exact year and model it is and one last thing, how much should i expect to pay for it? Thanks for any help someone may post.

 

Definately check for rust in the rear quarters and by the gas tank door. See what else is missing see what kind of a title it has see if it can even be registered. If your doing a swap dont worry about the motor but make sure all componets are still there...ECU, Injector resistor box, all wiring,...ETC.....Dont just call them and ask questions if you can go there with someone that knows about cars and then ask them about it they may try and make it sound nicer than it really is. As for the price there are a lot of different variables to determine a price so once you find out more about it then ask. Such as if it does have more damege or if the interior is stripped or if it has a salvage titale and so on....Hope this helps!!

Ok, My i called my dad and he said we'd go look at it tommorow. But he isn't exactly a Honda man... he's more of a Chevy man so he isn't exactly the best guy to take but he should be able to help me out. I hope its a 88-91 Si and it doesn't cost much. That would really make my day and i'd be able to get it after christmas and start saving up B-day and x-mas money for the swap! i looked around the entire car tonight and i didn't see any rust but it was dark so i might have missed something.
