Here are the pics of mine, they don't look as yellow in the pics as they really do (they are fairly bright yellow)... Had them for 3 months now, and have never had a problem here in Calgary with the cops... They are the "Showoff Series Yellow (For Off-Road Use Only)" bulbs, that I got from a buddy here locally....

I now you don't care, because you only want them for looks, but you won't be able to see **** with those bulbs.

in all honesty, these bulbs visually seem brighter than any stock or aftermarket bulb I've used... they light up farther down the road, and are way better for bad weather (rain, fog, snow) then any other color... light tests (that I read somewhere on the net, if anyone has it, can they post it?) show that yellow is better for visibility that white/hyperwhite....

yellow is better for visibility that white/hyperwhite....
So how come HIDs allow you to see better? How come "hyperwhite" bulbs, while they don't light up the road any further than their normal counterparts, light up the road brighter?

The whiter the light, the closer to sunlight it's going to be. Let's see this online test that you're citing.

I will agree that yellow is better for shitty conditions, but we're not talking about shitty conditions.

Yeah, actually yellow lights help with depth perception (however you spell that). That's why a lot of fog lights are yellow.

Higher colour temperatures can sometimes mislead the brain into thinking the light is brighter, when in reality, they aren't. When a car with PIAA Super Plasmas is behind me, the light seems bright, but when I drive that same car, I can't see ish...

Yellow, though this has been scientifically debated for awhile, is generally suggested to provide better contrast in inclement weather. Until recently, France had a selective yellow headlight law. The reasoning behind yellow's allegedly better inclement weather characteristic is that the "whitewall" effect isn't as noticeable with yellow light than it is with white light.

yellow light bulbs are call: Weather Light Bulbs, its for weather condition driving, like if you make a turn, you can see the other car quicker if they had weather light bulbs.. why do you think fog lights have them? why do you think cars on track that races on the rain have them?
its not a JDM thing haha, its for safety.

Race cars use yellow lights to denote the class they are racing in.

Some foglights are yellow because of what I described...it's believed to offer improved vision because of contrast reasons.

yellow is only good for foul weather\fog because it reflects less light off the inclement weather.

thats is why there are fog lights!

put regular bulbs in the headlights and yellows in your fogs.

waht makes you think that? there are different types of yellow bulbs, the crappy ones, which wont light up the worth **** and there are the "off road use only" bulbs. theres a reason why it says "off road use only" because they actually are brighter. i saw a old mustang with yellow off road fog lights and they were way brighter than my hids
