Default JDM front end?

My buddy just got an LS and wants to get a JDM front end. He found it online for about $2,000 OEM-metal (non H.I.D) Im telling him to save up for the H.I.D.s too, but he says he wants it. What do u guy thinks? H.I.D or non H.I.D

really, we thought it was more. Well he has 3 grand to spend. He could get the H.I.D and just save up money to go get it painted and installed. About how much would it be to install and paint? THANX

A good paint job and install job will cost a pretty penny. Soup **** here on HT spent upwards of $7K for everything. His car is flawless in every respect.

PM him about it.

bulbs, and ballasts. the headlight housing looks a little bit different( correct me if i am wrong) between non hid and HID, but the light of the OEM honda HID looks the best, imo .

The non-HID version has lines going across the entire plastic lense, while on the HID version it has a circle over the projector and no lines within the circle. The Projector is also smaller. There might be something different with the radiator support too.

$1400 paint and install? that's just for the front, not the whole car right? i heard it's about 2g's for full car there.

Why not just buy the conversion now, then get the OEM HID headlights later seperatley?

you could do that but the quality and look of the OEM HID is nothing like it in the aftermarket.
