Hondata - Which Application?
Hey guys, I was wondering which Hondata to purchase. I have a 92 Integra w/B16 (8.5:1 compression) running 8-12psi.
Is the "Boost" option necessary? Check valves are working fine so far, and the FMU/fuel pump are providing fuel as necessary.
Please keep in mind that I'm on a budget!
Thanks,
Goldfingiz

If you want to keep your check valves and FMU, then why do you want Hondata? One of the main reasons is so that you can throw that garbage in the trash.

Tuning with an FMU and check valves? Exactly how do you plan to do that?
If you used Hondata with your current setup, you'd get ignition control, but that's it. That's hardly tuning.

If you want to get rid of your check valves, fmu, and inline pump, which is a good idea, than yes the boost option is necessary. The whole idea behind Hondata is that its a Honda ecu that can read boost and adjust fuel/timing accordingly.
You wont be able to tune **** unless the ECU can see boost and compensate for it...get the boost option. Sell some CDS or something if you can't afford it
