Anyone using FRONT lower tie bars?
Just wondering if anyone in here is using one. And if so do you think it helped any? Know of any downsides? I'm debating buying one.

(Yeah it looks like it's touching the header in this picture but it really isn't.)

On my second one. The first was sacraficed to a berm when someone turned down on me. It saved my oil pan & header. They told me they didn't see after the race. I THINK it helps to stiffen the front. I will continue to run one because of the above.
SCRAAAAAPE.
that would have to be a track only piece - i wouldn't get through a regular day with it on. i'd install it in my garage and it would get torn off before i got out of the complex.
looks cool though.
after giving it some more thought - yeah, it would still scrape.

Totally mutilates road kill when i drive over it though..
this is reason enough for me to blow rent money on one...
or mig weld some "prongs" onto a homemade version.
I did find better steering response with one on my car. It did like to hit things occansionally. Some of the slop of the old oem LCA bushings might have been why it seemed to help so much....cant answer that one.
Unless your speedbumps run parallel to the curb, they should not be a problem, the bar is directly between the wheels.
i take a lot of driveway aprons & speed bumps sort of sideways, that is, one wheel at a time, to avoid scraping frame and/or itr header/shield. i think such a bar would get rocked the first time i did something like that.
my car's not that low either.
chances are, if it could happen, it would happen to me.

I've got the Benen bar. Ch***is dyno says the steering felt a little more responsive with it on.

And I've never had a problem with it scraping on anything. Because of the way it's shaped and mounted it's barely lower than any of the other parts of the car.
