Would this give me any extra power?
Ok, I kinda asked the same question previously, but I need better answers. If I were to do a Y-pipe dual exhaust conversion, I would lose power, right? Well, what about an H-pipe? Also, how are the pistons aligned in my car?
your pistons are aligned in a straight line, thus you have an inline 4 or an I-4
the simple answer to the exhaust thing is this: don't get duals on your car for any reason other than looks.
An H pipe literrally looks like the capital letter H. Much like its cousin, the X pipe, it is a design that requires true dual exhaust. you can only have true dual exhaust on a motor that has 2 banks of cyls, like a V8
