Suddenly car will not start
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me out with this. My car has been running fine until the other day. I went to start it and it would not. It turns over great but just doesn't start. So far I have checked the following: the fuel pump primes, fuel pressure at gauge atop the fuel filter is fine, I get spark from all plug wires when doing the screwdriver spark test, looking through the oil filler cap I can see the rocker arms moving up and down when the engine cranks, and I have exhaust pulsing out of the tail pipe when the engine cranks as well so it is not an exhaust/cat clog. I also unplugged the MAP sensor to see if that was the problem but it is not. I put dry gas (fuel line anti-freeze/water remover) in the tank also. Tomorrow I am pulling the plugs to inspect/check them, after that I am checking the fuel injector wiring. Oh, the battery and alternator are both 6 months old and should not be the problem. Any other ideas? Thanks.
Oh well gee I pulled the plugs and found that they were all pretty badly fouled. I cleaned them up with a wire brush and wiped them off, reinstalled them, and the car started right up. I will be replacing the plugs very shortly.
