Was at the harley dealership today, decieded to check out the buells. i know the XB9 has a short wheelbase, but DAMN. I felt like i was on a huffy or something. The Firebolt looks very sharp but for $10,000??! that seems kinda ridiculous when a nice CBR600 can be had for around $7500.
Anyway, what do you guys think? I'm 6' 5". What would be a good bike for a tall bastard like myself?

personally, i would think it will be good if your back is strong enough
It seems like you will be leaning forward all the time with that bike. I have the same problem with the NSR, and now I have a back problem
But damn, that is one nice bike there!
It would fit me good (165cm)

If its ur first bike, stick to something Japanese. The parts and maintanance for Ducatis are crazy. Trust me, dropping a Suzuki or Honda hurts less then dropping a Duc. Wait a couple of years, then go for one. But for now, stay with something Japanese.

I think the RC51 will fit you nicely. But if this is your first bike, stick with an older CBR since they are more popular and parts are cheaper to find.
hey there,
buy the new cbr600rr.I just tried it couple of days ago.Woot-it rox like my type R.it handles like a 250 and user friendly.much more better than a r6.

I hope that was a joke.
Back to the subject. Try riding the bike instead of just sitting on it. When riding does it feel like yer in the fetal position? Bikes with the bars under the triple clamp will probably feel a lot better for you since yer a BEHEMOTH! Hehe jfwy.

ill check out a bunch after i get back from japan.
(yeah im going to school in japan, ill blend in fine...)
I'm 6'4". Riding smaller bikes is just something that takes a little practice. I wouldn't consider any of the Buells small though, you should be fine. Any of the liter bikes should be fine for you. In the 600's, I've found the kawi's seem to have the most room, followed by the hondas.

I actually found that not to be the case for me. I tried swapping on race clip-ons thinking it would give me a more comfortable position. Turns out, my torso acted as a lever, and just put undo weight on my wrists, even while locking my knees in. One of the advantages of being tall is, on a long ride, you can lift your torso up and use the wind resistance to support your weight.

Thanks for the advice mercy!
Eh...just a suggestion. I wouldnt really know about tall people im only 5'7'' haha. On long hauls I just lay on the tank and put my feet up on the passenger pegs.
hahahaha, I do the same but I roll over onto my side and curl up... the bike stands by itself and follows the banked curves... most of them anyways
