Playstation 2 racing games
Hey everybody. There was just a thread on PC racing games, but I'm looking for a good racing game for the Playstation 2. I already have GT3, but that's it. I'm looking for one preferably with real cars, real tracks, and good physics. I love GT3, and on the computer I love TOCA2 (BTCC). Are any of the F1 games for PS2 really good? Anybody have any suggestions?

I have WRC and it is pretty decent. The only part I dont like is that you cant get the rear to come out that well. And it does handle a little different than GT3, Overall its a good game.
I also have a F1 (EA Sports) game and I really dont care for the physics, much more game like.
If you like bikes, MotoGP is a fun game.

What's your set up on a Civic or ITR in GT3?
I go back and forth with stiffer front or stiffer rear.
Lap times can be the same, just drive a little differently...

Ferrari F355 Challenge is out for PS2 now. Amazing game, extremely realistic, and some real tracks like Laguna.
Makes GT3 feel about as realistic as Rush 2049

Has anyone tried Grand Prix Legends for PC? The sim is based on all the old school 1967 Grand Prix cars. It is an oldie (from 1998), but it is *the most realistic driving simulation* I've ever played. In fact, Juan Pablo Montoya has admitted to playing Grand Prix Legends and Grand Prix 2 in his spare time
Haven't tried GP2, but you guys should def. try GPL. I know you guys would enjoy it. Go here for more info: http://gplea.racesimcentral.com/cars/cars.html it has upgraded graphic models, and sounds, as well as downloadable tracks.

It is Ferrari F355 Challenge, afterall...
Pat has a good point. That game SUCKS... money out of your wallet in a hurry. It's great down here, everyone at Gameworks on the weekends is waaaaay dressed up (clubwear). Always fun to go destroy some poor guy and watch his friends comment "I thought you were good?" heheh. Suzuka rules, just wish you got more laps there. I was fairly terrible on the oval the two times I've driven it, Long Beach is another rough track for me. Does anyone else seem to get punted by the AI there a lot?
