Default What octane?

My bro just got an F2, Stage II jet kit, Two Bros exhaust, just changed oil with Mobil 1. He was questioning what kind of gas to use. Since day 1, I have been using Texaco 93 supreme. Can he get some more insight?

I wouldn't use anything lower than 91....all mine run 91 or 93. Stock compression ratio on an F2 is 11.6:1, so lower octanes will most likely detonate under load or at higher RPM.

The best being the octane it was designed for. If a bike was designed for 86+ going to 91 is detrimental. The higher the octane the higher the resistance to self-detonation under increased compression. If a bike is designed for 86, running 91 will leave unburnt gas deposits.

Yup, consult the owner's manaul. Or service manual.. or ask honda. I've noticed most older bikes run 86/87 but you'll always have the same idiots that un "super"or "supreme" thinking its just better
