Default clutchmasters flywheel Threadlock on bolts?????

Do i need to put thread lock on the pressure plate bolts when i use a clutchmasters aluminum flywheel????? I ask because i have installed one of these before and the pressure plate bolts came loose a few hundred miles down the road. Yes i did torque them down to specs. Now i am going to install another one on a coustomers car, and the last thing i want is those bolts coming loose. Anyone have any imput?? thanks

theres a cretain torque sequence. Honda service manual says "Torque the bolts in a crisscross pattern (19 ft lbs). Tighten them two turns at a time to prevent warping the diaphram spring. The service manual says nothing about thread locker in the PP bolts. I never used any thread locker on my CM FW or PP bolts. Nothing has come apart either. HTH

well, i was just thinking since it is aluminum, instead of steel, or whatever the stock flywheel is made out of, it needed some sort of threadlock to keep the screws from backing out. I just dont feel like tearing this tranny out again.

I would think if CM wanted us to use threadlocker they would have supplied it. Hope it goes better for you this time.

I use Permatex High Temp red whether on the flywheel to crank bolt and on the PP to flywheel bolts whether it's a stock flywheel or aftermarket.... That **** is fun to break loose later but atleast it holds up to the vibration and heat.. Latez

I threadloc all flywheel bolts. Next time they come in just hit them with the impact and they come off easy
