Accord System questions... looking to upgrade
Ok so i got a new car, a 99 accord EX, it currently has a 6 speaker system in it, the 6.5 in the front 6x9 in the back and tweeters on the dash. Ok, so for new speakers im pretty set on the 3-way infinity 6x9's which i actually already have just sitting in my room but i am puzzled about what to get for the front. I wanted to get the infinity comp perfect 6.1's but im not sure about the mounting depth. Im looking for options/opinions with the front set. As to where the tweeter would go, if the speakers fit, if anyone has done anything similar in this gen accord, or any pix. Also, i figured the tweeters probably arent ****, should i not even bother having those hooked up once i get everything going? the factory tweets that is. Also I plan on pushing all these speakers with a RF 800.4 amp. Anyone have any comments, suggestions, other ideas let me know! Pix would be great. Also, how about q-form kickpanels? or maybe some sort of pod for the door where the mirror is attached for the tweeter? i dont know. looking for input!
The Perfect 6" set is very good, but its depth might be a limiting factor for you. You can always get spacers to help you, but then there may be a confliction with the front of the speaker hitting the door speaker panel cover. I personnaly would give the Infinity Kappas some serious consideration. They are not as deep and the crossover is much smaller (another thing to consider on those Perfect.....where to mount the huge crossover). They can handle the power from the 800.4 and their reputation proceeds them for their sound quality. The kick panels are obviously good for imaging, but bear in mind you will lose a foot rest. I would hate the idea of accidentally always kicking that thing. I have never heard or seen of any tweeter pods that would mount in a factory-like location for the Accords. I think your best bet would be to make a hole in the door in a suitable location and use the mounting hardware to custom mount the tweeters. * I would NOT recommend using the fatory tweeter with the addition of the other components. While Honda's crossover settings may be similar, who knows how it would perform with the Infinity crossover as well as the fact that it would NOT be able to handle power from an 800.4.

Ok, so the qform are not an option anymore, I understand what your saying, plus I would want to have a $500 comp set where everyones feet are going to go. So if i get spacers then the 6.5's would fit, but then how would I do the tweeters? anyone have any pics of what they have done in there own cars? pref a 99accord.
Another question, can you get actual spacers anywhere? or do you have to sort of make them yourself? anyone have any pics of anything would be helpful

We sell spacers. I am not at work now, but I believe they come in 1/4", 1/2" ,3/4" and 1" sizes. Look up part number "SS65" on our site (www.audio-warehouse.com). The SS65's are the 1" size. The price on a pair of them is $5.95.
You can check out all the spacers by going to "Scosche"----->"Speakers and Adapters"------->"Injection Molded Speaker Adapters".
