Yes you can make a custon dumptube down, just get the flange that fits on the wastegate and then some piping and then cut and weld it to where you want it to point.

Don't do that you can lose up to like 20+ hp. Best thing is have it routed somewhere under the car 18" or less from the wastegate. That way you won't lose any power or little.

If done right having the wastegate dumped into the downpipe wont cost you more than 3 or 4 HP, if that. So if you like it quiet, do that. Personally I just dump mine to the ground and call it a day.

have you noticed any boost creep with that setup? I think all the outside air rushing past it would cause the WG gas to have to fight its way out instead of just flowing out easily. A simple angled cut would stop boost creep... like how semi trucks have.

For those who asked for pics. Car's dirty (too cold outside to do a wash), but you get the idea.

Yes, you need a dump tube. Nobody likes 1600 degrees temp being dump inside their engine bay. The correct way is to route it into your exhaust. Nice and quiet, almost like factory.

Yes a pic from inside the engine bay would be helpful....but isn't that tube coming from the wastegate out to the bumper more than 18 inches?

when people say 18 inches with the dumptube they are referring to a closed loop system. supposively according to corky bell, the dump should be put 18 inches down the down pipe as to not interupt flow. but since this is dumping out the bumper it doesnt matter.
