alright. my fully built turbo 98 gs-r is a mangled piece of steel. volks are wasted. im gonna get a black 99-00 civ hatch, but i need to know which model i should get. i want power windows, power locks, and manual steering. dont want a sunroof, dont even know if they come with one. dont care what engine, soon to be stripped. should i get a vx, dx, etc.??? help me out guys

 

theres only 2, cx and dx, flip a coin and pick one. Both of them dont fit your requirements

 

ok... **** the power stuff. i guess im just spoiled but what are the specs of these two? weight? all i really want is fbp. i dont care about anything else. so which is lighter? oh and 5 speed (sure both are)

 

the big difference is cx has manual steering and no ac, dx has power steering and ac.

that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. lots of CX's come with AC, mine did. my hatch also has power steering, power windows/locks/mirrors, OEM keyless, etc...

I added it all myself.

DX's have a body colored rear spoiler, rear wiper, and cargo cover lid thingy, CX's don't. Those are pretty much the only differences.

thy are the same.. and both have the same options except that dx has color matched spoiler and rear window wiper. either one can be auto or manual, either one can have power steering or no power steering.. list goes on and on...

 

ok i should've said 99-00 dx has standard ac, while on cx's it was optional.

on my 97 hatch i put in all the power junk too. my 97 dx didnt even have ac. however, on 99-00 dx it was standard.

 

99-00 dx all have ps, cx none do. yes you're right about the spoiler; on cx it doesnt have an overhang like the dx and its not painted, while the dx one is. you're also right about the back wiper; the cx doesn't have one.
