not really, right tools = about 15-30 minutes to change the axle. if its the passenger side go ahead and change his transmission fluid while its easily accessible.

Front axle from dealer about $180, from AUtozone around $50.
Sorry, had to do it.
Man you are much faster than me. I also made a couple trips to Autozone to get the tools I didn't have, then had to smote it with a sledge before breaking down to go get a puller from autozone. Took me about 4 hours total. Key words: "RIGHT TOOLS"
We worked on that axle for weeks (off and on), heat, penetrating lubricant, etc. Eventually you just have to get *extremely* serious and take some serious hits it with a sledge. Impact is what its all about, so I'm not a big fan of using pullers for this job.
But with a 2002 Civic (low likelyhood of rust, corosion) should take someone who's done it before about 30-45 minutes to remove the wheel, axle nut, knock out the axle, swing out the knuckle, replace, put back together.
But I highly, highly doubt it effed up two wheels and all you've got is a bent axle... what else bent that allowed you to bend the axle?
is it just me but if you damaged two tires and bent an axle would some of the rest of the suspension be pretty F***ed as well?
When i hit a curb i only scraped half of one wheel and had to replace the lower front control arm and had to get my chassis realigned... 700 bucks later .....
PS my axle is totally fine.... so can somebody else explain better... perhaps someone who does this (fixes wrecked cars) on a daily basis help out?
