Ok I'm purchasing an LSD from a good friend of mine in Canada...He's sending it as a gift. My question is will I be taxed by customs? He's insuring it for 800 US dollars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well, I know that for shipments I get from the US, I have to pay a brokerage fee as well as taxes.

My guess would be yes, you will get charged both. However, I heard that if you send the shipment via "air" you can avoid the brokerage fees at the border.

 

call and ask the shipping company exactly what charges you have to pay.

and if possible avoid UPS all togeather.......

 

Sent as a "gift", there is no tax or duties.

 

Only if the customer believe it, so may be yes or maybe no. I guess you will know when you recieve the pacakge!!
